I like the stealth genre. But it's very apparent that alot of stealth is boringly binary. You get spotted once and thats it reload a save or go guns blazing. This makes alot of stealth Super slow. I understand the appeal of stealth is to be patient and analysing the patrol routes but i believe it is possible to make stealth that is more aggressive while retaining that route pattern analysis and etc.
Some stealth games really do have their own amazing solutions that should be the industry standard. Stuff like dishonored, Sniper elite, etc have a proximity alert spread. If 1 enemy fully detects you and shouts something before you kill them their nearby friends will be alerted or maybe even full hostile. But only those nearby guards. If you let them alert others or make more noise then more of the map will be alerted.
But i think 1 aspect I think none has touched on is a more dynamic detection system. Sure getting detected will cause hostile enemies but what then? Run away and hide until everything is normal? I'd argue more options would be really cool for this genre making playthroughs more dynamic and real instead of a game of save load save load save load. Of course I'm talking specifically for AFTER already causing an alarm,not before.
1)Radio an alert cancel. Maybe you can find the enemy that detected you and hold him at knife point to make him talk to all the guard on his radio that he saw nothing. (You can interrogate someone while grabbing them in mgs5 to ask for enemy locations, I'm sure calling off the hostility would be cool) Risk? Limited alert cancels. Just like in payday 2 you can only use the radio maximum 4 times before they know your bluff so this alert cancel would be quantity limited.
2)Replace your detector Hitman has a disguise system so that's a good start. It would be really cool that if a guard has radio alerted everyone, you can kill the guy and replace him. Once the other guard come to you to find the intruder. You can put the blame on the dead guard that's wearing ur clothes instead Risk? 1 time only. You can't kill another guard and replace a guard uniform with another guard uniform. You can only replace your intruder suit with a gaurd uniform.
These are my thoughts on cool ways to cancel an alarm after ifs already happened. Of course games nowadays have already alot of ways to prevent an alarm from even happening. Booby trap the alarm, Turn off alarms, Destroy the radio stations/Comms tower to prevent the detecting enemy from alerting other guards.

Unsurprisingly, the ongoing PTC issues have resulted in the cancelation of all trains originating in Chicago through the end of the day. Passengers are being offered free food and hotel vouchers, with many not being able to be rebooked until Monday. My family was luckily able to snag some Greyhound tickets to get back to STL tonight, but there are many folks who will remain in Chicago the rest of the weekend.

Time sure flies, doesn't it? We are about to ring in a brand new year, and as we do so, the release of Grand Theft Auto V is now more than six years old (and is fast approaching five years on PC). Given the time that has elapsed, it is certainly possible (maybe even plausible) that Rockstar Games is deep in development on Grand Theft Auto VI. To that end, a supposed QA tester claims to have the skinny on the next installment.
We should preface this information with a disclaimer. There is no way of knowing if the supposed QA tester is what the person claims to be, or if any of the leaked details are accurate. All we know is that it's been a long time since the last Grand Theft Auto gaming (though Grand Theft Auto Online has been receiving continued updates and support).
What is interesting about the situation, though, is the anonymous source first posted the leak on Reddit, and it was removed by the moderators. It's not clear if perhaps Rockstar Games pressured the mods to take down the content. All that said, let's jump into it.
The folks at Dexerto managed to preserve the post. According to the original poster, the map in GTA VI is "huge" and covers to major cities, those being Carcer City and Vice City. Carcer City is based on Boston, and Vice City is based on Miami.
According to the leaker, GTA V is a "schoolyard playground" compared to the massive map in GTA VI. The leakers says Rockstar Games improved the weather effects and polished things up, borrowing from its experience on Red Dead Redemption 2.
"The map is huge, like stupendously huge, hence the game's emphasis on air travel. It makes GTA 5 look like a schoolyard playground. There is an array of atmospheric effects that bring out the life in everything. Light pollution, hurricane winds, morning fog, etc. I've never seen an open world game this realistic before," the leaker wrote.

Assuming all that is accurate, it would be a good opportunity to inject real-time ray tracing into the mix, though there is no mention of that. Instead, the focus is on the size of the map. The leaker says it's so big that it's "a little awkward traveling from Boston to Miami," in part because there are no other major cities in between them, in the game. Expect a lot of air travel, if that's the case.
The leaker also says GTA VI will again put players in control of multiple characters, just like in GTA V. One of the protagonists is said to be "an undercover cop or something," and other might possibly be a sibling. In addition, the leaker says Rockstar Games "complete revamped" the mission design.
"You can permanently abandon some missions or take different routes that sprout different consequences," the leaker says.

It seems like we have been hearing rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 since the beginning of time, though in reality, it has only been almost that long. If you were hoping for some clarity with a release finally being around the bend, well, brace yourself—we could be in for several more years of rumors, not just weeks or even months.
Naturally, the folks at Rockstar Games are not offering up any juicy tidbits about the inevitable release. So everything we know, or think we know, has come by way of leaks and rumors. To that end, multiple leakers are reporting that GTA 6 might not come out until 2024 or even sometime 2025. As things stand right now, YouTuber Tom Henderson says the next version of GTA is very early in development.
Henderson notes that, historically, he has not been associated with GTA leaks (he's been more plugged into the Battlefield scene), but the information he shared in a YouTube video is based on what he has heard from multiple sources. He is not the only one that is hearing GTA 6 is still several years away from being released, either.

Given the success of GTA Online, it seems Rockstar Games might not be in a rush to push out another major release. At the same time, it's said the developer is focusing "very heavily on employee well being," which in part means avoiding the crunch that precedes a game's release. However, there is at least one other factor at play as well.
It's said GTA 6 will launch on PC and the latest generation game consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S). By taking its time in releasing GTA 6, Rockstar Games will have a much wider audience of compatible console owners to drum up sales. And while not mentioned, the same could be true in the PC space, as hopefully discrete GPUs will be plentiful again by the the time GTA 6 arrives.
As for the setting, Henderson says GTA 6 will in fact mark a return to Vice City. Rockstar Games may opt to add more locations to the map over time (post launch), but it looks like a modern take on Vice City is headed to the GTA universe.
Given how much we had playing Grand Theft Auto V when it came to PC several years ago (and still holds up today), we're excited to see what GTA 6 brings to the table, even if it means waiting another 3-4 years.

The tenant-farmer-turned-factory-worker rests in his apartment, his feathery wings applying themselves gently to the cushions of his couch. It is the mid-afternoon, and he has recently returned to his new home in the city, built by those travellers from another world who his land now calls neighbors and provided to the commonfolk at an astonishingly reasonable price. He performs the ritual needed to activate his radio, and listens while he thinks about nothing in particular. A light and melodic voice flows from the box.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first broadcast of the Modern History Interviews segment of the Akwilayan Public Radio Network. I am Mahrionel Aentwasieur, and I’ll be your host for the forseeable future. I’d like to introduce our guest, James Stewart. Would you be so kind, Mr. Stewart?”
A gruff yet affable voice is emitted from the box, and though he does not speak the strange language of this particular foreigner, the artifice within grants him perfect understanding. “Just call me James, ma’am, formerly Lance Corporal James Stewart of London’s First and Only, European Army, and currently James, professional collector of pensions.” The man chuckles to himself for a brief moment.
“So, James,” the woman replies, “how about-“
He cuts her off, saying, “Sorry, ma’am, I‘m already taken.”
”None of that, James. We’d like to hear about your experiences in Operation Terms And Conditions, or The Wars, as many of our listeners may know it as. I understand you were involved in the fall of Samn-Ahmnkan?”
”Ah, yes, the Great Seal-Clubbing. So, you’d like a good ol’ fireside chat, miss? Shoulda brought me to the pub, then! I haven’t got nearly enough drink in me,” the soldier replies with a laugh. “Oh, but I can tell ye about it, yeah.”

”Eh, probably. More than one way to skin a cat, after all! Oh, but I’ll get on with the story, now. Wouldn’t want to ruffle any of your feathers, bird-lady.”

For the first time since he had been evacuated from the ruins of London, James Stewart was about to walk into a portal. This time, however, it would be sending him not away from battle, but directly into one. Everyone present had at least claimed to have read the files, and everyone knew who their enemy was. The Grand Duchy of Samn-Ahmnkan, or the Sammies, as everybody called them, were a bunch of dirty slaving bastards who’d only been given aid to be fair for everyone. Of course, they’d gone and used their new gear to enrich their nobles and strengthen their armies, and everyone with half a brain knew they were about to invade their neighbor to the east.
In ten seconds, every single factory, industrial vehicle, lightbulb, and everything else relying on beamed mana-turned-electricity in the Duchy was about to have every ounce of power cut to it. This lack of power would both cause utter chaos and confusion and provide power for the portals which were about to disgorge their cargo of men. James took a deep breath.
He chuckled and under his breath he said, “For king and country,” even though the monarchy had been abolished by nuclear warheads years ago, and the country had ceased to exist as anything more than a memory in the hearts of those humans who had fled to the new world they found themselves in.
He began to sweat.
The portal, shimmering and bright purple, materialized before him, and he stepped through.

The Square of the Unworthy, Grand Duchy of Samn-Ahmnkan
Conventional wisdom on this planet, he had been told, said that any incursion into a country must come from either its borders or its coasts. Conventional wisdom on this planet, he had been told, said that only the greatest of mages could transport themselves instantly and infiltrate a land from within, and that even then they could bring only themselves. Conventional wisdom on this planet, he had been told, was reduced to complete and utter bullshit when humans entered the equation. Conventional wisdom on this planet, he knew, was about to be turned on its head.
He and around 90 other men had been dropped straight into the largest slave-holding area in the Duchy. Their orders were simple: They were to get in, put a bullet between the eyes of any Sammy slave-masters who didn’t surrender, shove any who did through the portal and into the waiting arms of the nearest POW camp, give any slaves they found a semi-auto whose design was over 100 years old and which had been produced in ludicrous quantities by the Nor-Ams for exactly this purpose, and hold the line. Easy, at least on paper.
It took him a moment to regain his senses after going through the portal. When he did, he saw countless slaves in the process of being broken in, and their masters in the process of doing the breaking. Unfortunately for the slavers, he had a rifle and they didn’t. Gunshots rang all around him as he and his compatriots unloaded shot after shot against anyone who was obviously not a slave. When the work was done, communications equipment was sent forwards, along with various aid supplies and boxes upon boxes of modified M1 Garands, bayonets already attached and an extended clip already in place.
The unit’s officer got on top of a box, setting his helmet to magnify his voice to the greatest extent it could muster. At the top of his lungs and the deepest recesses of his throat, he shouted, “Slaves, servants, downtrodden of every variety! Your liberation is at hand, and we invite you to participate in it! Take from us a weapon, and rip and tear until the deed is done!”
James had no idea how that speech got approved, but it seemed to work. As he rushed ahead to the gate, he saw slaves drop their tools and, slowly at first, head to the crates of weapons for a crash course in how to use them. He helped create a makeshift barricade at the facility’s gate, and got ready for the big guns to show up.

Akwilaya City, 2077
“Well, James,” the voice of Ms. Aentwasiuer asks, “How would you describe their response?”
”Bloody pitiful, frankly. The poor Minotaur- sorry, I mean Oxling- bastards had nearly their whole army on the border, ready to invade some neighboring principality I don’t remember the name of. Half the city guards didn’t give enough of a fuck to actually try and stop us, and the ones who did were bringing swords to a gunfight. And that was before we put on our fancy pants.”

Grand Avenue of Samn-Ahmnkan, Grand Duchy of Samn-Ahmnkan, 2066
After a few spare minutes of waiting, the tanks arrived. Slaves and soldiers alike stood clear of the thundering Challenger 3.5s as they rolled through the portal, and James advanced along them out of the gates of the Square and through the city’s main avenue, which would bring them to the palace. Liberated slaves fanned out throughout the area to provide support, as well as a few soldiers with every unit of freedmen to stop them from terrorizing the locals.
His helmet‘s HUD showed new green and blue dots appearing across the city seemingly every second, as slaves were liberated and new forces were sent in via portals. Every cluster of allied forces began to converge on a single point: the palace. Above the city, he saw portals open and immediately close as advanced aircraft marked wyverns and their riders to be hit by munitions transported instantaneously from a classified location somewhere on the planet. Actually, that might not have been true. For all he knew, they were storing munitions in a sealed facility under the bombed-out ruins of Earth.
Wherever the missiles were coming from, they were judiciously effective in dispatching the Duchy’s “air force,” if one could call it that. Equally effective were the canister shells fired by the column’s lead Challenger at an incoming unit of spearmen. Eventually, after meeting minimal resistance throughout the city, they arrived in the palace.

Akwilaya City, 2077
“So,” the woman asks, “it is said that the Ducal Guards of Samn-Ahmnkan were among the most capable warriors out of any non-human nation at the time of their fall. What do you have to say about that?”
”Well,“ comes the response, “They certainly had the shiniest armor out of all the Sammies I saw.”
Ducal Palace of Samn-Ahmnkan, 2066
The Mage-Warriors of Gold, The Dark Duke’s Own, The Supreme Palatial Blades, and a thousand other titles were given to the Ducal Guards of Samn-Ahmnkan by their friends and foes alike. They were the sons of nobles from across the land, taken at three years old and trained by the most vigilant instructors to protect the Duke and his home. They were the reason an infiltrator had not set foot upon the palace of Samn-Ahmnkan in over a century. Their record was about to be ended by a unit of pissed-off humans.
Their armor, decorated with gold and forged of the finest steel available to the Grand Duchy, was said to be able to deflect a thousand blows and absorb a thousand more. Their blades were said to slice through flesh as if it were air, and their strength was said to be with neither limit nor peer. Their magical prowess was such that they could burn men alive with a single word, block arrows with the motion of a hand, and glide through the air as easily as they walked.
The gates of the palace swung open for the invaders in a mocking sort of greeting, as if the building were saying to come and take it if they dared. Before them stood thirty of the Ducal Guards, with two more flanking the Duke’s throne, projecting a shield to ensure harm would not come to him. The duke spoke in a voice that was far too loud for the rather stout man.
He said to the humans, “Fiends of another world! Know that you have come thinking yourselves to be conquerors, but that your efforts shall be in vain. Know that my armies march as we speak towards my fine city, and that the forces arrayed before me shall be slaughtered by my finest guards. I see not soldiers before me. I see dead men, who do not know they have perished.”
James said the only thing he could think of. “What armies? Last I checked they all got blown up!”
The duke and his men knew this was false. However, their confusion brought their guard down for just long enough for the thirty men in front to be obliterated by a series of HEAT rounds. The soldiers marched over the charred armor and viscera, into the duke’s throne room.
“You fools! Your children will be bartered as entertainment, your women as servants, and your men as laborers! Surrender now, and you may merely be diced to pieces rather than fed alive to the slaves you have tem-“
Whatever he was about to say was drowned out by two depleted uranium sabot rounds, which broke through the shield and struck down his guards. Intentionally, he survived, and James and three other men were assigned to drag him through a portal that now opened to bring him to his new home in New Guantanamo.
”You know,” James said as he and the three other men threw him to the ground in front of the North American guards, “one of these days they should add monologuing to the list of deadly sins. He was really bloody annoying.”

The man ends his tale, saying, ”Y’know, I wish I could say more, but the war pretty much ended for me after that one day. Of course, the occupation went on for a few years longer, but it turns out mass insurgency is a bit hard when you only have spears, and I’m sure nobody wants the story of how I sat around handing kids chocolate bars for two years while they got a government set up. Now if you don’t mind, I’m gonna go get a bloody drink.”

2023.03.25 23:57 datamiter Is there a way to make a train go a specific direction around a track loop?

So I've created a track with a loop at the end. When I place a Train Stop, the train goes counterclockwise around the loop, leaving the cargo still in the loop portion. Going clockwise would allow me to place the unloaders along the straight portion there.
If I get in and control the train manually and hold left as I approach the loop, I can make the train go clockwise around the loop like I want.
I did try moving the loop to face north instead of south, but it seems like the pathing always prioritizes continuing along the straight and coming around the loop after, instead of entering the loop and coming out along the straight. Obviously I could just extend the track, or move the station further right, but I just wanted to check if there's a way I can get the train to do what I want here?

Fans of Grand Theft Auto V, who don't already have the game on Xbox One, will be happy to hear about the latest news from Microsoft. The game has been added to Xbox Game Pass, so players with a valid subscription can play the game on the console. GTA V launched back in 2013 and remains a very popular game thanks to online content updates and a massive modding community.
GTA V is also one of the most viewed games on Twitch and is regularly in the top five games on Steam. Rockstar hit a home run with GTA V, and adding it for free to Xbox Game Pass may bring gamers to the franchise that haven't yet tried it out. For Xbox One gamers with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold membership, access to the frequently updated Grand Theft Auto Online service is included. One sad bit of news is that GTA V is only offered on the console; it's not available on the PC with Game Pass.
While GTA V is still wildly popular, fans are clamoring for the next installment in the franchise: GTA 6. GTA 6 details recently leaked from a claimed beta tester and enticed us with visions of the game. A new rumor claims that GTA 6 won't launch until 2021, however, nothing official from Rockstar has been offered about GTA 6 so far.

2023.03.25 23:51 Ralathar44 Just a Reminder, L4D2 spent most of its life with no new Developer content.

I think people put too much stock in new content. Like New Content is nice, but new content in terms of levels has diminishing returns. Once you have a good variety and then a touch extra you're pretty good. Think about L4D and Vermintide and Deep Rock Galactic and Killing Floor 2. Any fans of those have played the same maps over and over again.
And while modded content is nice, reality is only a small % of people play with mods. The industry has studied this before but there is an easy way to verify this. Go to your favorite game with steam Workshop support, check the total amount of unique users downloading a mod.
L4D2 has likely sold or given away 20+ million copies over its lifespan. Definitely its had at least 10 million. The most popular mod of all time barely breaks 1 million unique visitors to its mod page, with only 700k subscribers. It seems insane, but while modding is a big deal for some people apparently the vast majority just don't even bother. Though IMO anyone who plays Skyrim without mud crabs with monocles and top hats is just uncivilized :P. (bonus points for Randy Savage or Thomas the Train dragons :P)
B4B, in reality, already has more level content than L4D2 had. Individual maps in L4D2 take a matter of a few minutes. Entire Campaigns last 15-30 minutes. Reality is that L4D2 only has like a half dozen hours of unique map content. And like B4B a small part of that some of that is backtracking or re-used. B4B in reality has many hours more unique map content.
What's all this mean? It means B4B's ride is not over. L4D2 languished in its developer completed content state for a decade and in the end the new content that brought it back to life was all community made. But even before that drop their playerbase was still healthy. We have the content we need to keep getting played. The real question is going to be the price.
Something people tiptoe around when they discuss L4D2 is the price. But its the single most important reason its still relevant today. It's $10, and regularly went on sale for $2. L4D2 isn't immune to attrition. It's lost many players over time. But with such a low price point on a solid game it's replaced them because buying the game is cheap and buying it on sale is essentially free at $2.
So it's going to be all up to Turtlerock Studios at this point. Since we won't have new content to drive new interest and counter attrition are they going to be willing to aggressively drop the game's price over time to accomplish that?

Looking to go to Louisville for the first time soonish and setting up a safe base to call home. Not wanting to constantly tussle with a billion zomboids I am thinking of doing the old sledgehammer the stairs and live that farming life on the roof.

This is a story from a few years ago, but I figured you guys might like it. It was big lesson for me.
I was just starting to work as a young adult, looking for a part-time job related to my field of study. I found the summer guide job at the castle which looked interesting, so I sent out the CV and then ended up being invited for the interview.
It was rather complicated to get there. The castle was at the other end of the country, "only" two train rides away. My interview was scheduled for one cold day in January. As a bonus, I also had an injured foot at the time and was limping, although I didn't let it affect my life. I combined this journey with the visit to the relatives, took the train to one large city where I left my suitcase at the luggage storage at the train station, and then waited for like an hour for my next train. It was a small local train which took me to the small hilly town, with the castle in the middle of it, towering over the buildings. I walked most of the way. The icy sidewalks were the biggest problem but nothing too bad.
I arrived at the castle and had an interview with two elderly women. Everything went well... until the end. Only then they revealed that they actually had no intentions of hiring me and they knew it from the moment they saw my CV. Why did they invite me then? Well, they found my CV very interesting and wanted to meet me in person, but they had known the whole time that they wouldn't hire me. I’m not kidding. What was the reason? Well, I'm a foreigner living abroad and they said that they didn't want to deal with the "complicated insurance process", so they couldn't hire me. I later found out that yes, it’s a complicated process but more for an employee than their employer (I've dealt with it at some later jobs - and also found out that a good and understanding employer can help a lot). And yes, they also violated the anti-discrimination laws.
Anyway, I felt like an idiot. I limped back to the small crowded train station and waited for the even smaller train. Time and money wasted on this. Don't do this. If you know from the very beginning that you don't want to hire someone (whatever the reason is), don't waste their time by inviting them for an interview, only to tell them at the end that you won't hire them because they are a foreigner.

2023.03.25 23:47 RodmunchPHD Heroines of the Penninsula: Ladies Only Thracia Introduction & Chapters 1-3

Inspired by u/sapphicmage and her Girls Only Genealogy run I've decided to try a similar challenge by playing Thracia 776 with a similar challenge. While the basic idea of "Girls Only" is simple enough, I want to outline the ruleset I'm using because Thracia is a significantly different beast than Genealogy & it'll require a unique set of rules. Without further ado lets lay out the rules, if you see something that seems odd let me know & I'll discuss it & take it into consideration.

Again if anything seems odd or omitted let me know and I can go back and fix it. Without further ado though lets get into how this run went so far!
Starting off this session we get 3 units total. Eyvel & Tanya arrive in Chapter 1 and Safy arrives in Chapter 3. Overall this is pretty brutal, it's not great but with Eyvel's immortality we have enough killing power to live long enough. We should have enough vulns to live with enough lucky dodges, but either way lets go over some analysis of each chapter.
Chapter 1
Something I always take for granted was the build stat most men have. Fun fact, Eyvel has 7 build and most enemies roll between 8-10 build on average. The first time I capture an enemy is in Chapter 3 so we are running dry on resources for a while here. Training Tanya is fun, but I break her Iron Bow here so I essentially just make her as good of a dodge tank is possible while Eyvel sweeps the rest. Pretty uneventful all around, but this whole "No Capture" issue will really rear its ugly head soon.
Chapter 2
Not too much different, Eyvel walked to all 3 villages while Tanya held the bridge where all the boys cowered behind her. She's gotten past 10 speed at this point so she's moderately dodgy & Eyvel is cleaning up the pirates she can. Eventually I hold at the bridge to the right of the start & with Ronan's Iron Bow Tanya starts killing again. I slow down her rampage since 2x and 3 are coming up, but I still can train weapon rank with a broken bow which only weighs her down by 8 speed! Either way the villages were the only tense part of this map, otherwise it was Eyvel tanking with a broken sword & Tanya training with a broken bow. Flame Sword goes brrr and kills boss.
Chapter 2x
Well this one was a bit of a doozy because I actually had to drag the men with me this time since they bait some of the reinforcements that spawn by Lifis. My convoy of slugabeds rolls up behind Eyvel & Tanya tearing through enemies. I'm conserving some Iron Bow uses, but we get though the chapter with moderate speed & besides Finn taking 2 hits on the last turn it's a smooth chapter all around. No torches to sell because I didn't have time for them honestly, but Lifis and his scroll was acquired and we move on to the actual problem chapter.
Chapter 3
Going into this I realized the villages were going to be a wash so I really had to work to try and get the Warp staff. With Safy available I knew that was going to be my only solution for Chapter 12 and by god am I not about to try and massacre my way through Dackia Woods with whoever is even available by then. Once I cleared out the gate guards Eyvel rampaged into the prison, got Corpul, and got back while Tanya sat on Corpul's house and kept killing foes. I hammerned one of Tanya's bows for more XP & so I can inch closer to A staves because I really don't want to have to Master Seal Safy if I don't have to. Otherwise this was a smooth chapter, but I did perform a mild trick to save myself some time in the future. Since you have to hit deployment minimums even through fatigue, I decided to execute Orsin, Halvan, and Ronan to make sure I could play through Chapter 8 even with fatigued units. This means Brighton, Hicks, and Fergus might have to bite it come Manster, but I'll leave that one for later me to manage. Overall this chapter was tough, but I got most of what I needed & brought what equipment I could for Mach, Lara, and Karin to carry me through Manster.
Btw the statboosters are getting saved, HP ring for Lara & Speed ring for Nanna or Mach because it's going to be tough otherwise. Unit pics below.

First thanks to everyone for being patient with me.... Ok so I want to deliver oil by train through the complete chain. However, after the refinery it makes sense on my map to go pick up bricks with same train and drop those bricks at the second stop of the line (it's the oil barrel to oil drop icon) then have trucks pick up those bricks and take to town. Now, it's the same stop obviously as where my train drops barrels and picks up oil on the first pass through. How in the shit do I do this? My train has 3 oil transport carts and 3 brick carts attached already. 2nd question. I have 2 truck (really wagon) making places on different sides of the map but everytimr I buy a new wagon it always comes out of first factory. Anyway to change this? Thanks in advance.

After France, the series should go over the globe to the Pacific against the Japanese, local forces and the Soviets. The Soviets unleashed an all out offensive in August 1945 and routed the Japanese Kwantung Army. This scenario could have Karl fighting anyone and everyone in the hunt for some Japanese superweapon the West doesn't want falling into Soviet hands.
The Soviet invasion was an armaggedon in the area and the chaos it produced is felt even today. The Soviets dismantled Chinese industries in their occupied sectors and brought back everything that wasn't nailed to the ground (just as they did in Germany) and this contributed to Mao's victory in 1949. The Soviets also conquered Korea, leading it to be divided in two countries. The Soviets also invaded the Japanese islands in the Kurils.

The Battle of Berlin ended in May 1945, while the Pacific campaign was still raging up; and it woulg go on to the first ten days of September 1945. US president Roosevelt asked Stalin to declare war on Japan and open a new front in Manchuria. Stalin asked for six months in order to shift his forces from Germany to the East. It is perfectly feasible for Karl to be sent to fight in Burma and China in special assignments for SOE and OSS.
Those missions could be critical in stopping Operation Downfall, the planned invasion of Japan set for September 1946. One such invasion on Japanese holy ground would be an absolute blood bath (so many Purple Hearts were ordered they are still being awarded). The Americans planned to send in 5 million men in the operation, plus allied French, British, Canadians and ANZACs.

The Soviet Red Army was the largest land force in the world, and fell like a hammer on the Japanese and their Chinese allies. The Soviets in Manchuria would fight with a mix of Soviet and US lend-lease equipment, plus modern and earlier Soviet equipment, as divisions would have come from Berlin and others from the Soviet east, and those would be equipped in 1939 equipment; such as the SSh-36 helmet "Khalkingolka". This would give variety to Soviet soldiers. The Shermans from Zombie Army could be recycled as Soviet lend-lease Shermans for the player to blow up. The Soviet Army also had the help of the Mongolian army, and the Soviet Naval Infantry (marines) had distinctive black uniforms.
The Soviets also employed "Diversionary Units" (Spetsnaz, special forces) deep behind the Japanese lines, which could also be an interesting plot point.

The Kuwantung Army was considered an elite and a source of pride in the Japanese military. The army was a Japanese force augmented by Chinese and Mongol auxiliaries (plus a brigade of Russians). Among those Chinese puppets was the Manchukuo puppet emperor Puyi's forces. They had similar Japanese uniform, with headgear slightly different and receiving some "passable" training. The Japanese had an extensive illegal trade of Opium in occupied China that grew steadily during the Japanese tenure, used in order to fund their occupation; this could be explored somehow to hamper their operations.
The unforgiving terrain of the Pacific, with thick vegetation and gigantic trees, had its own rules for sniping. The Japanese were masters of camouflage and concealment, with Japanese snipers being found in trees, manholes, tunnels and fighting to the death. The Japanese could bayonet-charge your sorry ass in the game with some sort of animation for the player to escape/deal with it.

The Chinese
Pro-Japanese Chinese soldiers armed with SIG M1920 submachine guns (Swiss-made MP18). They have mostly Japanese-style unifom, with one of them using a former KMT M35 helmet.
Forces in this massive operation included not only the Soviet mechanized juggernaut and Japan's most intact forces in the mainland, but also the Mongolians allied with the Soviets, and the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo's Kwantung Army, both of them having Mongol horsemen just like in Medieval Ages. The Chinese fighting in the war were all over the place:
  • There were the Chinese of the Nationalist forces (KMT);
  • The communist forces of Mao Zedong;
  • The pro-Japanese troops;
  • And the Warlord Armies, which were private and changed sides all the time.

All of those could either help or attack the protagonist according to changing allegiances, without prior warning to the player. Karl speaks Russian, so he can understand the Soviet, but he does not speak either Japanese or Chinese. This would force him to depend on a Chinese contact, an Zombie Army already gave us one: Jun. She is a soldier from the Kuamintang (KMT) and, according to her in-game headgear option, Jun's Cap option states she was once apart of the Eighth Route Army. This army was one of the competent ones of the KMT but it was only nomially subordinated to it: they belonged to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). So she could play a double game.

Wonder weapons
Since Sniper Elite always has some sort of Wunderwaffe, one mission could be about destroying a Japanese Tiger. In real life, they could not ship the Tiger to Japan because the seas belonged to the Allies, but in this case at least one (or maybe 2?) could have arrived and its destruction would become a top priority, needing the sniper with the deepest voice to deal with it.

The main Wonder Weapon could be a toxic gas from experiments conducted by the dreadful Unit 731 who could give the Japanese the illusion of being able to defeat the Allies in the Home Islands, and thus keep fighting instead of surrendering - atomic bombs notwithstanding.
The Japanese also had armoured divisions in China (yes, divisions), and they had some heavier tanks in the Japan proper for their planned last stand. For the sake of storytelling, they could garrison a few of those in Manchuria defending secret bases involved in their grand project.
