This is probably the last time i post about these Spider-Man movies, I just wanted the most recent ideas in one place so I can link it. Here are my ideas for a new Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy.
Spider-Man: Devil's Reign
This movie takes place after the conclusion of Daredevil Born Again, picking up right after Kingpin is elected mayor and puts a ban on superheroes, putting Spider-Man on the run from the law. After he repeatedly hinders Fisk's criminal activities, Fisk has Martin Li, CEO of Horizon Labs, develop the Scorpion suit for Mac Gargan to take down Spider-Man. Coincidentally, Martin Li is also the owner of the charity organization FEAST, where Peter volunteers. Peter is also a student at ESU, and has a friend named Alistair Smythe. Spider-Man faces off against the Scorpion and is nearly defeated when Daredevil and Jessica Jones come to his aid. Daredevil explains that Kingpin is using his position of mayor to monopolize crime in New York, and asks for Spider-Man's help stopping him. Spider-Man agrees and they decide to track down Scorpion while Jessica looks for a way to prove Kingpin's guilt. Meanwhile, Gargan convinces Li to develop new Shocker gauntlets for Herman Schultz in order to combat Spider-Man and Daredevil. Shocker and Scorpion confront the two heroes, and are able to nearly defeat them before Spider-Man and Daredevil escape. Daredevil notes that they'll need more help if they're going to take down Kingpin. Just then, Daredevil gets a call from Jessica. With the help of Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, she has found incriminating evidence on Kingpin. Spider-Man and Daredevil head to Nelson & Murdock to discuss how to take down Fisk. Karen and Foggy send the evidence to news outlets, while Daredevil calls in fellow vigilantes to help in the fight. Ultimately, Spider-Man leads the Defenders against Kingpin, Shocker and Scorpion, defeating them and freeing New York. The movie ends with Peter meeting Felicia Hardy, a fellow student at ESU. Mid credits scene introduces Miles Morales, a volunteer at FEAST. Post credits scene shows Martin Li in his office as a flash of blue lightning is seen in his eyes.

Following Kingpin's defeat, a new player has entered the criminal underground, the elusive Mister Negative. Between Negative's Inner Demons, the Maggia, and the Karnelli crime family, NYC is being torn to pieces. Peter starts hearing voices when on patrol, and starts getting terrible nightmares. He's grown close with Felicia and Alistair at ESU, though both note that he's been acting strangely as of late. Ned and MJ return to New York for the summer and soon run into Spider-Man. They both begin to feel as though something is missing in their lives, and Ned decides to try to uncover Spider-Man's identity. He turns to Martin Li, whom he interns for at Horizon Labs, and convinces him to develop tech based on the Green Goblin in order to unmask Spider-Man, as Ned remembers him taking something important from the web slinger. Meanwhile, Spider-Man chases the elusive Black Cat. She tempts him to help her steal money from the Maggia, and the voice he's been hearing also encourages him to do it. He decides to get checked out by the Fantastic Four, but when Reed tells him the black suit is a living symbiote, Peter refuses to get rid of it. Back at Horizon, Li's head researcher, Spencer Smythe, has developed a glider, weaponry, and a disguise for Ned to use and refers to it as the Hobgoblin tech. Peter comes to realize Black Cat is his friend Felicia Hardy, and reveals to her his identity. Suddenly, the two are ambushed by the Hobgoblin. Peter is enraged at the sight of the goblin's technology, and nearly kills him before removing his mask to see that he was Ned all along. Black Cat, who was harmed by Peter as she was trying to stop him from killing Ned, leaves New York citing that Spider-Man is too dangerous. Peter, having almost killed his former best friend, calls the Fantastic Four who help him remove the symbiote and take it into custody. Peter returns to his apartment to find MJ waiting at his door, and the movie ends. Post credits scene shows Ned entering a deal with the government to join the military instead of going to prison.

She returns to MIT, leaving Peter alone again. Two years pass, and the gangs tearing apart New York have reached a breaking point. Martin Li has the Chameleon steal the symbiote from the Baxter Building, and gives it to Mac Gargan knowing that no one hates Spider-Man as much as he does. Gargan, now the new host of the Venom symbiote, speaks to Li at Horizon. Li asks Venom to prevent Spider-Man's intervention in the Demon's activities and steer his crusade towards his competition, the Maggia. Li implants a sonic resonance chip in Venom allowing Li to punish him if he disobeys. Spider-Man is seen foiling the Inner Demons' criminal activity in the city, but he catches a glimpse of a dark figure watching him. When he turns to look at it, it's gone. Peter grows increasingly paranoid and is led to believe that the symbiote has found a new host. He continues his fight against the Demons, but sees the dark figure again and chases after it. It leads him to a Maggia lab. Spider-Man takes out the goons there, but is unable to find Venom. He does however, find out that the Maggia has uncovered Mister Negative's identity: Martin Li. Li is then seen with Miles at Horizon giving him a tour. Suddenly, an alarm goes off. Li rushes out, and Miles sneaks off into a back room where he discovers a lab that has created a mutated spider. Miles is bitten by the spider before he rushes out of the lab. Outside Horizon, Silvermane and members of the Maggia appear and expose Mister Negative. Members of the Inner Demons soon arrive to back him up, and an all out war begins. Just as Li is about to deal the finishing blow to Silvermane, Spider-Man intervenes and takes him down. That's when Venom descends from a rooftop and thanks Spider-Man for taking care of Li. Venom then tries to kill him, though Spider-Man is low on web fluid and is forced to retreat. Venom then takes MJ, who'd just graduated MIT and returned to New York, hostage, forcing Spider-Man to defeat him once and for all. He's reunited with MJ, and they share a kiss that causes her to remember everything. We then see a scene where Peter encounters Miles and his spider sense goes off, suggesting that something is up with Miles. Peter asks him if something's different, and Miles reveals his spider powers. Peter shows him what he can do, and the movie ends. Mid credit scene shows Horizon Labs under investigation by the DODC, and businessman Roderick Kingsley is put in charge of the company. Post credit scene shows the symbiote in possession of the US government as they consider giving it to an injured Ned Leeds.

I have not read the books yet, but saw the movies since they came on NF. I've got to say that I found the ending immensely satisfying. It seems we get few opportunities to see the "and they lived happily ever after" at the end of a movie.
It's like for the writers to be revered these days, they have to have an ending with a twist or some other cruel outcome because happy endings are boring. I thought showing Katniss and Peeta together with a family at the end was great imo.

Alright, so hi, everyone.
I've been single longer than I'd like to admit- and I'm sick of it.
I don't want it any more.
I want to share stuff with someone. I want to share life with someone. Someone I can kiss. Hold. Make laugh with terrible jokes, ridiculous stories, and my stupid fake Irish accent I slip into without realising it. Someone I can associate with places and feelings and songs. Someone who'll come to my mind, completely unbidden, and linger there for a while. Someone who I can read bits of my favourite books to. Someone I can recite poems for. Write poems for, too, come to think of it. Someone I can cook for. Someone I can make memories with.
I want someone I can hand my heart to, and say 'here, you take this, it belongs to you now'.
I don't expect much to come of this. I don't really think I expect anything to come of this. I haven't told you any cold hard facts about myself, so how would you even know if you'd like me or not? Here, see if these help you decide; my favourite colour is purple, my favourites animals are the okapi, the red panda, and my favourite birds are herons and hoopoes because they're fun to say. I'm scared of the dark but I can't sleep unless there's no light around anywhere. I love old musicals and romantic comedies. I am a huge romantic at heart( no, duh). I love cats, but I'm terrified of dogs- though I'm getting over it, bit by bit. I'm scared of spiders but I'm trying to stop that.
I like simple things, like the feel of clothes right out of the dryer, or the taste of the first sip of water when you’re really thirsty. I like the sound of wind rushing through tall grass, and the feel of mud between my toes. I like drinking chilled apple juice (with cinnamon, or elderflower, or both) on a hot day, and hot chocolate with cinnamon and nutmeg on a cold one. I like watching cheesy old movies in the middle of the night, and reality shows about cops or ambulance people during the day. I like shining a torch under my chin and pretending to be a ghost when it’s really dark. I like pretending I’m a mad scientist during thunderstorms; when I'm not busy being utterly terrified of them. I like to order in numerical order when I get a takeaway; so one time, I’ll get 87, the next 88. I like to pretend the car I'm in has lasers coming out of the side of it, and anything that gets in the way gets sliced. I like to people watch. I like to stop once in a while, and really think about what it'd be like to have a hook; would I be a pirate, or would I hire myself out as a freelance backscratcher? I like to wave at trains, swear at helicopters, and salute planes; sometimes I mix it up a little, though. I like to stick my tongue out and catch snowflakes, or try and get a mouthful of raindrops. I like to pretend I can talk to animals, though I'm far from being Dr Dolittle.
Some stuff I've done and seen recently to act as conversation starters:
I've watched Crazy Ex Girlfriend (and boy do I have thoughts), and the first few eps of The Last Of Us. I'm also watching, or rewatching Wynonna Earp, Killjoys, Coupling, three different Star Trek shows, Lucifer, and Bosch.
I've recently read Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive and Mistborn series, Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard books, Rothfuss' Kingkiller chronicles, everything by Brent Weeks, and the Emaneska books by Ben Galley. It's safe to say I totally have a literary type.
I've listened (in the past) to a ton of the Thrilling Adventure Hour podcast, and absolutely need someone to agree with me about how Sparks Nevada is the greatest thing ever. Also about how it's bullshit that you have to donate to be able to hear the whole back catalogue.
I've been playing a fair bit of several games that I've modded the hell out of. Minecraft, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Rimworld. Also Hitman, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Cyberpunk. Also I'm playing my way through the Dead Rising games. Like two thirds of my computer storage is just games. The last game I completed was the main game and dlc if Resident Evil Village. I've also been playing Animal Crossing, too.
I'm just looking, really, for some conversation. Whether that's as friends, or as something more, so be it. I miss having someone to share my life with- though my life is pretty boring at present, so be warned. Mostly, I miss the comfort of knowing there's someone out there who'd give a damn, really.

My therapist and I were talking about the give and take of relationships lately. He has exposed his kinky side to me, so we had an incredible conversation about just how much more a relationship in kink uses our emotional resources. Often times we see our actions being cathartic to the trauma of lives, but rarely do we see the tax it takes upon us in the current space. It made me think about how many times that as a Dom, I may have been fulfilling my role, and not realizing what I harvest I'm not doing a good job replenishing.
I know that must sound like I don't offer aftercare or possibly avoid dealing with sub drop, but I can tell you that as a Pleasure Dom and a Daddy Dom, that's the farthest from the truth. I enjoy the aspect of healing as much as hurting, and often use the art of Kintsugi as what I strive to do with my submissives. While I see that as healing their submissive needs, I now wonder if I was truly replanting seeds that would help foster regrowth and renewal, keeping the passion and desire alive.
I want to change that. I want to be intentional. I want a sub that is not scared to tell me what exciting buys they got from target. A sub that describes to me the intricates of their day and all the pitfalls they have to navigate to get to me. A sub that is not here to just get release, but knows that can keep part of themselves safe in me...not because I will lock it away, but because I want to tend to it and help it grow.
That means I need to be honest with who I am. I need to share with you the kind of person I am without trying to hide the bits you might not be fond of later. I need to tell you I'm a Dom that comes in many flavors. I enjoy creating the height of feeling as a pleasure Dom. I love to give the structure of a Master. I love to unconditional care of a Daddy Dom. I love to deliver the expression as a Sadist. These are things I've put into posts before, but here is the new one. I love being a boyfriend. I love being someone who wants to exists parrel to you. I want as many kinky nights as I do movies on the couch nights. I want to go on roadtrips that exhaust us and let you feel so comfortable in the car you can just rest in silence as we travel back together. I want to know what place I can pick up fries to surprise you the most. I want to show you my favorite TV show, and have you fall asleep on my chest because we are different people. I want you to wake up in bed knowing I must have carried you there.
Do I want to make you scream so loud in (and out) of the bedroom that makes you have to explain friends and almost brag about your experience? Yes. Do I want to talk you to little shops across new cities that you can pick up little things to remember our adventures? Just as much.
I want to give a full experience. You'll notice I'm not writing a lot about me, or what I expect you to be. I'm doing that because I want you to know my intentions, not my checklist. I want you to discover who I am because you're curious, not just reach out because I meet a minimum requirement.

Do I want to make you scream so loud in (and out) of the bedroom that makes you have to explain friends and almost brag about your experience? Yes. Do I want to talk you to little shops across new cities that you can pick up little things to remember our adventures? Just as much.
I want to give a full experience. You'll notice I'm not writing a lot about me, or what I expect you to be. I'm doing that because I want you to know my intentions, not my checklist. I want you to discover who I am because you're curious, not just reach out because I meet a minimum requirement.

I am born AMAB (assigned male at birth just in case you didn’t know what AMAB meant), I don’t identify as my assigned gender, male, but as agender (basically I don’t feel I have a gender and understand other people do). I currently dress mainly masculine, but I do want to have a more androgynous wardrobe in the future. Lastly, I am omnisexual which means I’m attracted to all genders with a preference to feminine people.
I’ve also got a super amazing bf in Ontario who’s just a great guy! We’re looking to add a couple more people to our polycule and have all 4-5 of us under one roof in the future, but still allow people in the polycule to date outside the polycule.
I should also say I am anti-bigotry no matter who the target is whether it’s transphobia, homophobia, sinophobia or any other kind of racism. That is one of my dealbreakers. It goes without saying then that I’m a safe person for trans, gay, furries, gender-nonconforming, and poc.
Before I end this, besides the anti-bigotry point, I’m really just looking for people who share some, not a ton or all, of the same personality traits or interests. Preferably you are local to me. I like to order in numerical order when I get a takeaway; so one time, I’ll get 87, the next 88. I like to pretend the car I'm in has lasers coming out of the side of it, and anything that gets in the way gets sliced. I like to people watch. I like to stop once in a while, and really think about what it'd be like to have a hook; would I be a pirate, or would I hire myself out as a freelance backscratcher? I like to wave at trains, swear at helicopters, and salute planes; sometimes I mix it up a little, though. I like to stick my tongue out and catch snowflakes, or try and get a mouthful of raindrops. I like to pretend I can talk to animals, though I'm far from being Dr Dolittle.

I've watched Crazy Ex Girlfriend (and boy do I have thoughts), and the first few eps of The Last Of Us. I'm also watching, or rewatching Wynonna Earp, Killjoys, Coupling, three different Star Trek shows, Lucifer, and Bosch.
I've recently read Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive and Mistborn series, Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastard books, Rothfuss' Kingkiller chronicles, everything by Brent Weeks, and the Emaneska books by Ben Galley. It's safe to say I totally have a literary type.
I've listened (in the past) to a ton of the Thrilling Adventure Hour podcast, and absolutely need someone to agree with me about how Sparks Nevada is the greatest thing ever. Also about how it's bullshit that you have to donate to be able to hear the whole back catalogue.
I've been playing a fair bit of several games that I've modded the hell out of. Minecraft, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Rimworld. Also Hitman, and Red Dead Redemption 2. Cyberpunk. Also I'm playing my way through the Dead Rising games. Like two thirds of my computer storage is just games. The last game I completed was the main game and dlc if Resident Evil Village. I've also been playing Animal Crossing, too.
I'm just looking, really, for some conversation. Whether that's as friends, or as something more, so be it. I miss having someone to share my life with- though my life is pretty boring at present, so be warned. Mostly, I miss the comfort of knowing there's someone out there who'd give a damn, really.

 | Hello I have been troubleshooting these full screen issues for weeks with no permanent fix. What could I try? See the uploaded picture. Same computer and TV on windows 10 did not have the problem but has come since upgrading. submitted by loudclaps to VLC [link] [comments] Black bars on left and right: Full screen has these bars on the sides which is the difference between 4096x2160 (tv resolution) and 3840x2160 (VLC displayed). I can get it to work by cycling crop ratios until it fits but it needs to be changed every time a video is played. Windows inbuilt media player has the same issue but is solved by setting the 'zoom to fill' option on but 'always fit window' in VLC doesn't fix this. Taking a VLC snapshot does not show the black bars on the right and left. - The design of this deeply hidden plot has been to change the perception of the masses, undermining the authority of the Bible, the correct shape of the earth, the layout of the universe and the creator’s position in it.

- It means that this place was created, that you were designed, you were crafted, you are special and with purpose. A purpose being hidden from you on purpose. We are supposed to know our world, and our reason for being.

FYI:
· Resting upon this lie are a multitude of other lies, namely: the big bang, climate change, evolution, the potential for UFO’s (and aliens), the great asteroid that supposedly wiped out the dinosaurs etc. If people come to the realisation that the earth is flat, all of these other lies fall down like a house of cards.
· The heliocentric theory has roots stemming right back to the ancient Babylonian sun worship (see Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz), with Babylon being described in the Bible as the “mother of harlots and abominations of the earth”. This theory proposes that instead of the sun revolving over the earth, that we revolve around the sun, which places the sun at the centre of our solar system. The modern continuation of Babylon is still here today, albeit under a different name, and has through the millennia ‘given birth to many daughters’.

I've been messing with my TV show library settings,"Prefer local metadata", "Use original titles", and I've refreshed metadata.
All 3 actions separately have caused Plex to re-detect intros and credits. Why is this a thing?
Such a long operation should have its own unique option to manually start, I've been trying to solve a separate issue and this makes it much more annoying and wasteful.

2023.03.26 00:44 Geogator My take on M in Emesis Blue
This is a wall of text about the "Emesis Blue" SFM. This wall of text should be a spoiler warning of its own.
So I watched the film, and yes it did screw with my head, as it probably did with everyone else's. At first, I was divided on whether M is Fritz Ludwig or not, but upon rewatching it, I think he is. More specifically, M is future Ludwig. Please bear with me.
Some assumptions I made in order to reach this conclusion:
1) Not all time loops are resolved in the film. We know that an unexplained anomaly causes characters (mainly Soldier and Ludwig to experience a time loop). These time loops cause characters to interact with the past/future. When I use the term "resolved time loop", I mean that we see the time loop anomaly from the perspective of a character, and afterward, we explicitly see the character that is time-traveling (for instance the soldier watching himself speak with demoman, and then soldier speaking with demoman watching the observer (40:00-45:00). An unresolved time loop, therefore, is a character traveling into the past, but the film not explicitly stating it.
Why? Because despite the time loops, we follow the character's story in a linear progression, so if the time loop happens, but a character chronologically time-travels after the ending of the film, then we haven't experienced the resolution.
2) The fact that Ludwig heals fatal injuries is not necessarily an effect of the Respawn Machine. I might get a lot of backlash for this, but I think mainly Ludwig displays this ability. The dead Heavy is seen to be brought back to life by the RED Medic, the Conaghers don't reappear (based on my memory) except for their presence in the afterlife (the Demoman dying in the laBorAtoRy, and the Medic dying in the car crash at the end). The Pyro literally keeps being on fire after his resurection. literally literallyThe Sniper appears to be suffering from his fatal injuries. when he comes back. Only the Heavy makes a return, but this might be an effect of RED Medic's injection into him (plus the burn damage remains as we see when the building collapses on him).
Speculation: Ludwig might be able to heal fatal injuries either due to his in-game ability to heal, or due to the Emesis Diazepam (disguised as Valium) that he is seen taking. Other characters that have it in their possession are: Jerma (11:42) and Archibald (1:16:13). We do not know how long the effects of Diazepam need to fully wear off in the movie nor can I remember when exactly the characters are seen taking it. This is just speculation and I might be wrong.
3) The 1% malfunction of the Respawn machine is bringing the mercs back to life, but without fixing any of the fatal injuries. This means that the mercs are alive, and still carry the injuries that killed them in the first place. The respawn machine might therefore always revive them in this state, because otherwise, one could kill themselves to come out ok afterward (speculation).This can be seen when Sniper is revived because his leg is still missing (seen clearly in 1:19:30) from the rocket soldier fired at him (36:50). Pyro is on fire when he is brought back by the respawn machine (1:10:45) because Corporal's Intelligence modifier is apparently -4 (1:07:30). Possibly even RED Demoman can be placed in this scenario as he appears to be having a severed arm but displays no symptoms of blood loss, shock or even pain, though this information is not explicitly conveyed. Even Jerma can be placed in this category, because he was discharged due to brain damage after exiting the respawn machine (18:23), which can also be seen as an injury on his head (1:09:41). This might not be the case for Jerma as the injury's source is not explicitly stated and might be from Ludwig's examination or unrelated.
With the assumptions out of the way, here is how I believe that Fritz Ludwig is the same as M: M is the result of Dr. Ludwig encountering the 1% error of the Respawn Machine.
First of all, why:
- Jerma successfully identifies Ludwig as his kidnapper, even though he came to save him. We know that Jerma has been suffering from brain damage, hence why his contract is terminated, but from what we can see, he is not hallucinating and is a reliable narrator (meaning that everything he experiences can be trusted). This includes him identifying Ludwig as his kidnapper, even though Ludwig has no recollection of it.
- The Corporal finds a hacksaw at the crime scene, which might be by far the weakest piece of evidence, since anyone could have planted it.
- Ludwig literally encounters a mutilated version of himself when experiencing a time loop anomaly that brings him to Jerma's house.
- When Pyro is seen kidnapping Jerma, there HAS to be someone else holding his mom's severed head at the other side of the room.
- The way M is holding head of Jerma's mom (12:25) is similar to how Ludwig holds Pyro's head when he wants to distract Sniper from killing Soldier (1:20:00)
- Soldier has premonitions (e.g. seeing the Corporal catch on fire), and one of them illustrates RED Demoman stating that "a true enemy has yet to reveal himself"
- Ludwig is known to be mentally unstable as he frequently hallucinates, and interacts with himself in the mirror (16:00 and 58:45). So my opinion is that M is a secondary personality of Ludwig.
I know that one can argue that there are places where Ludwig himself is not seen as M, or that Ludwig had no motivation to commit M's acts of violence. So here is how:
- We see that Ludwig is killed at the end of the film by crashing his vehicle. His fatal injuries (1:46:29) are very similar to how M appears to be (1:10:36). The eyes of both appear as bullet wounds, and M is missing some teeth, which can be due to the fact that Ludwig is seen smiling when killed which might be due to the fact that he smacked his mouth on the steering wheel).
- Ludwig then respawns on respawn machine (I believe that it's him because the silhouette shows the features of a Medic when it fades to black). However, Ludwig experiences the 1% effect, which causes the respawn machine to respawn him as is: with his fatal injuries. Although not explicitly stated, I believe that the machine can also transfer the patient's mental state at the 1%, and since Ludwig is hallucinating when he crashes, then this might indicate that the M personality fragment is taking over, thus causing Ludwig to respawn ONLY with the personality that is M.
- Speculation: After the film ends, since only M has transferred to the respawned Ludwig, he dons the plague doctor mask, and goes through unresolved time loops to cause events in the film such as killing Jerma's mom and holding her head, and holding the Corporal at gunpoint to steal the briefcase and Heavy's body
Things that I still can't put my finger on:
- Who the Conaghers are speaking to on the phone, and why has that person kidnapped Jerma? I speculate that it might be M, because he knows Jerma is there and has escaped, meaning that he might have already experienced the opening of the coffin as Ludwig.
- Who shoots Soldier, causing him to fall (1:28:30). I genuinely don't know; at first we see a silhoutte swearing a soldier hat, then we see that the shooter might be wearing attire similar to how Ludwig appears to be when he pops out of the coffin
- Why does Jerma appear to be a monster? He is implied to be killed when Ludwig finds his hat (34:10) Even if he experienced another 1%, Jerma should still come out more normal, unless the Conagher that dragged him mutated him with the sheer power of a drill, which I think is bollocks. Speculation: a time loop might cause Jerma to be experimented on by M, OR the RED Medic could have gotten to him.
- Why are there zombified versions of the RED team in the weapon locker? Speculation this might be related to "Spy's disguise", where RED Engineer smacked the Respawn machine to kill the BLU Spy, but this is a rabbit hole I don't feel like exploring right now. Btw here is the link to the vid:

- Why is Pyro acting as an antagonist? Again, I am not sure.
- Why is the Corporal an idiot that blames others for his own catastrophic mistakes? I was so glad when Ludwig opened his mind (1:38:45).

An unresolved time loop, therefore, is a character traveling into the past, but the film not explicitly stating it.
Why? Because despite the time loops, we follow the character's story in a linear progression, so if the time loop happens, but a character chronologically time-travels after the ending of the film, then we haven't experienced the resolution.
2) The fact that Ludwig heals fatal injuries is not necessarily an effect of the Respawn Machine. I might get a lot of backlash for this, but I think mainly Ludwig displays this ability. The dead Heavy is seen to be brought back to life by the RED Medic, the Conaghers don't reappear (based on my memory) except for their presence in the afterlife (the Demoman dying in the laBorAtoRy, and the Medic dying in the car crash at the end). The Pyro literally keeps being on fire after his resurection. literally literallyThe Sniper appears to be suffering from his fatal injuries. when he comes back. Only the Heavy makes a return, but this might be an effect of RED Medic's injection into him (plus the burn damage remains as we see when the building collapses on him).
Speculation: Ludwig might be able to heal fatal injuries either due to his in-game ability to heal, or due to the Emesis Diazepam (disguised as Valium) that he is seen taking. Other characters that have it in their possession are: Jerma (11:42) and Archibald (1:16:13). We do not know how long the effects of Diazepam need to fully wear off in the movie nor can I remember when exactly the characters are seen taking it. This is just speculation and I might be wrong.
3) The 1% malfunction of the Respawn machine is bringing the mercs back to life, but without fixing any of the fatal injuries. This means that the mercs are alive, and still carry the injuries that killed them in the first place. The respawn machine might therefore always revive them in this state, because otherwise, one could kill themselves to come out ok afterward (speculation).This can be seen when Sniper is revived because his leg is still missing (seen clearly in 1:19:30) from the rocket soldier fired at him (36:50). Pyro is on fire when he is brought back by the respawn machine (1:10:45) because Corporal's Intelligence modifier is apparently -4 (1:07:30). Possibly even RED Demoman can be placed in this scenario as he appears to be having a severed arm but displays no symptoms of blood loss, shock or even pain, though this information is not explicitly conveyed. Even Jerma can be placed in this category, because he was discharged due to brain damage after exiting the respawn machine (18:23), which can also be seen as an injury on his head (1:09:41). This might not be the case for Jerma as the injury's source is not explicitly stated and might be from Ludwig's examination or unrelated.
With the assumptions out of the way, here is how I believe that Fritz Ludwig is the same as M: M is the result of Dr. Ludwig encountering the 1% error of the Respawn Machine.
First of all, why:
- Jerma successfully identifies Ludwig as his kidnapper, even though he came to save him. We know that Jerma has been suffering from brain damage, hence why his contract is terminated, but from what we can see, he is not hallucinating and is a reliable narrator (meaning that everything he experiences can be trusted). This includes him identifying Ludwig as his kidnapper, even though Ludwig has no recollection of it.
- The Corporal finds a hacksaw at the crime scene, which might be by far the weakest piece of evidence, since anyone could have planted it.
- Ludwig literally encounters a mutilated version of himself when experiencing a time loop anomaly that brings him to Jerma's house.
- When Pyro is seen kidnapping Jerma, there HAS to be someone else holding his mom's severed head at the other side of the room.
- The way M is holding head of Jerma's mom (12:25) is similar to how Ludwig holds Pyro's head when he wants to distract Sniper from killing Soldier (1:20:00)
- Soldier has premonitions (e.g. seeing the Corporal catch on fire), and one of them illustrates RED Demoman stating that "a true enemy has yet to reveal himself"
- Ludwig is known to be mentally unstable as he frequently hallucinates, and interacts with himself in the mirror (16:00 and 58:45). So my opinion is that M is a secondary personality of Ludwig.
I know that one can argue that there are places where Ludwig himself is not seen as M, or that Ludwig had no motivation to commit M's acts of violence. So here is how:
- We see that Ludwig is killed at the end of the film by crashing his vehicle. His fatal injuries (1:46:29) are very similar to how M appears to be (1:10:36). The eyes of both appear as bullet wounds, and M is missing some teeth, which can be due to the fact that Ludwig is seen smiling when killed which might be due to the fact that he smacked his mouth on the steering wheel).
- Ludwig then respawns on respawn machine (I believe that it's him because the silhouette shows the features of a Medic when it fades to black). However, Ludwig experiences the 1% effect, which causes the respawn machine to respawn him as is: with his fatal injuries. Although not explicitly stated, I believe that the machine can also transfer the patient's mental state at the 1%, and since Ludwig is hallucinating when he crashes, then this might indicate that the M personality fragment is taking over, thus causing Ludwig to respawn ONLY with the personality that is M.
- Speculation: After the film ends, since only M has transferred to the respawned Ludwig, he dons the plague doctor mask, and goes through unresolved time loops to cause events in the film such as killing Jerma's mom and holding her head, and holding the Corporal at gunpoint to steal the briefcase and Heavy's body
Things that I still can't put my finger on:
- Who the Conaghers are speaking to on the phone, and why has that person kidnapped Jerma? I speculate that it might be M, because he knows Jerma is there and has escaped, meaning that he might have already experienced the opening of the coffin as Ludwig.
- Who shoots Soldier, causing him to fall (1:28:30). I genuinely don't know; at first we see a silhoutte swearing a soldier hat, then we see that the shooter might be wearing attire similar to how Ludwig appears to be when he pops out of the coffin
- Why does Jerma appear to be a monster? He is implied to be killed when Ludwig finds his hat (34:10) Even if he experienced another 1%, Jerma should still come out more normal, unless the Conagher that dragged him mutated him with the sheer power of a drill, which I think is bollocks. Speculation: a time loop might cause Jerma to be experimented on by M, OR the RED Medic could have gotten to him.
- Why are there zombified versions of the RED team in the weapon locker? Speculation this might be related to "Spy's disguise", where RED Engineer smacked the Respawn machine to kill the BLU Spy, but this is a rabbit hole I don't feel like exploring right now. Btw here is the link to the vid:

- Why is Pyro acting as an antagonist? Again, I am not sure.
- Why is the Corporal an idiot that blames others for his own catastrophic mistakes? I was so glad when Ludwig opened his mind (1:38:45).

So a couple weeks ago, my roommate, I'll call him Draco because that's what everyone called him at our old job because he looks like Malfoy from Harry Potter. Draco is in his early 30s and is my former boss who really helped me out by offering me basically his apartment when I had nowhere else to go, had a mental breakdown. And I feel like I need to protect him. He's been uncharacteristically cheery since that night and it is nice but also worrisome. Like I just want to hold him and tell him everything will be ok. Not in a sexual way but just because i get the impression that he's never felt safe or loved. A couple nights ago I actually got him to sit in the living room and watch a movie with me, which he's never done the entire time we've lived together. He sits on the floor in his bedroom and watches his TV because he's so shy. He insisted on sitting on the floor instead of sitting next to me on the couch. But as we were watching the movie I kept thinking of how I wish he didn't look so uptight and uncomfortable. He's so sweet and so alone all the time that it's like he doesn't know how to relax around people. And I kept like half-wishing he was next to me on the couch just he could fall asleep next to me and I could watch over him. I guess in a way I want to see him let his guard down to me because I've seen his vulnerable side and now I want to protect him. He even baked cookies as an apology to me for telling me everything he told me that night and it made me feel even worse because I didn't know what to do or say. And of course he didn't eat any because I've literally never seen him eat.
It's had me conflicted on what this means for me. I don't mean this to be one of those stupid am I gay posts. I don't feel a sexual attraction toward him but I want to physically hold him and never let him go, just keep him safe from all the things that have wronged him. Part of me wishes that we shared a bedroom just so I could be there for him to talk to when he can't sleep because he sleeps during the day most times because he's scared of the dark. There's something about him being so broken that two weeks ago put into perspective for me and I haven't been able to stop thinking about him.

So I tried to hook up my old N64, power came on but the TV is showing no input. Buy a new av cable online, try and it's a no go. Read resoldering the av connectors might fix it. Buy gamebit drivers. Open up, more corrosion than I want to deal with anytime soon. Wait for taxes. Buy N64 from retro shop. Test new-to-me unit in store before paying. Unit works fine. Bring it home. Powers on, no input showing on screen. Try all 3 tvs in the house that take that input. Powers on, no input on screen. Tried 3 different av cables on all 3 tvs in the house with both systems and one was working fine 20 minutes ago.
Am I overlooking something incredibly simple?

I just watched the Tommy Tiernan. The first and last guest were great, but the Dolores Keane interview was something special. People can compare the show to that of the Late Late, or even British shows like Graham Norton, but what Tommy Tiernan and the shows producers have done is something else. The significance of silence and forcing the possible awkwardness of live interviewing into raw and off the cuff emotion is fantastic. I personally love the show, and even the less heavy interviews are palet cleansers, but when you can have the vulnerability of someone like Delores, pouring her heart and hurt out on national TV in a time of national crises, and you don't feel bogged down, more inspired, is an achievement. Just an observation, and one after a few pints too, so if even one person reads this shite, apologies if I've rambled.

2023.03.26 00:38 OceanGuy1995 Where Do I Find DVDs?
I know, kinda a weird question, especially coming from someone who has over 200 DVDs, but I'm actually finding a hard time finding someplace that actually sells DVDs now. Wal-Mart practically has no movies except for some modern cheaply made horror movies, Best Buy apparently doesn't sell DVDs anymore, any movies that Target sells have damaged covers, etc. I was afraid that there would be a time where streaming has taken over how people watch their favorite movies and shows (as well as other forms of media). Now to make things explicitly clear, I do not shop online, I don't know how to and I really don't want to, I ain't supporting websites like Amazon which also plays a role in public stores hardly selling much items these days. I gotta get as many DVDs as I can before they're completely gone because I refuse to support streaming, I rather choose to watch a certain movie that I'm in the mood to watch in that moment rather than have the apps dictate when I get to watch whatever movie. I appreciate everyone who had to read my long post and can try to give me some ideas as to where to look, thank you.

There is a lot of emotions in me, I love France but I consider that the country is lost for years now. It's like a wasted drawing, even the greatest artist could not correct the awful mistakes french people made in the 40 last years. These mistakes made our country unproductive, unsafe, full of corruptions, weak minded, full of social and economical problems. There is good in our country, but the good is rotting, years after years. I'm upset front of all these events. But I know it's a trap. France is a part of Earth, and Earth is a part of the Matrix. This should be enough to understand where I'm going with this topic. Don't be attached to something here, don't believe in the freedom here, there is only the Illusion of freedom. We will be free when we will be outside this Matrix, by non-consenting to incarnate again. Anything else is distraction at least, trap at most. Being patriot is nice, but if it ties you too much to Earth, you are tighting your chains. We live in a giant cardboard box, with poor quality drawings of sun and clouds above us, with poor quality drawings of "nature" around us. And we are satisfied. Because we have forgotten the true "beauty" which exists oustide the box. We don't have "beauty" here, we have the illusion of beauty. We live in "countries", which are cardboard spaces. We develop attachement to these spaces because that's the only thing that we "know". We become attached to the matrix. We love something that, in our true divine form, we would find "badly drawn". Like a PS1 video game. We are like characters attached to their "Minecraft" space. Maybe my fellow french people will "win" and find a way to bring a better era which will exist for the next decade, but the game never ends. It's a Loop. There will be a new cycle of corruption and destruction. The exact same events will repeat. The same Loosh quantity will go in the hands of the Archons. Even more. We are cheering for the 1 to save us from the 0. "ohh look at this ! It's the 1 event !! It will change everything !" People are not understanding that the Matrix works with 0 and 1 in order to deceive us and to lead us to pursue the hamster run in the wheel of distractive events. If you still have any little hope about changing anything inside this matrix, you are still attached. If you are still attached, Archon agents will use this attachement against you. When your time comes, they will show you something that distract you, and get from you an implicit consent to come back here. Be careful. When their is emotions, their is often manipulation. "I want to live better in the Matrix" is literally "I want to live Please, fellow french people, don't have too much emotions front of these events. It's a movie. It's made to obtain our consent.
